Town Clerk Announces In-Person Early Voting Hours for the General Election

Sep 25, 2020 06:00AM ● By Pamela Johnson
Bellingham residents who have requested Early Voting Ballots by mail should receive them beginning in early October. If you returned the postcard that you received in July having marked off that you want to receive ballots for all elections or for November 3rd only, you will automatically receive a ballot; you do not need to send in another request.

In addition to voting by mail, there are two options available for in-person voting. Early Voting will begin October 17th and continue through October 30th; it will be held at the Bellingham Municipal Center, in the Arcand Room. Sample ballots are posted on the Bellingham website (bellinghamma.org), on the Town Clerk’s page, under the heading “2020 General Election Ballots.”

The hours for voting are as follows:
Saturday, October 17th: 2PM—6PM
Sunday, October 18th: 9AM—1PM
Monday, October 19th: 9AM—6PM
Tuesday, October 20th: 9AM—4PM
Wednesday, October 21st: 9AM - 4PM
Thursday, October 22nd: 9AM—4PM
Friday, October 23rd: 9AM—1PM
Saturday, October 24th: 2PM—6PM
Sunday, October 25th: 9AM—1PM
Monday, October 26th: 9AM—6PM
Tuesday, October 27th: 9AM—4PM
Wednesday, October 28th: 9AM—4PM
Thursday, October 29th: 9AM—4PM
Friday, October 30th: 9AM—1PM

Additional in-person voting will take place on Election Day, November 3rd, at the Bellingham High School gymnasium. The hours for voting on Election Day will be 7AM—8PM.
At both the Municipal Center and the gymnasium, we will be observing masking and social distancing requirements. Be prepared to stay a safe distance away from other voters and, potentially, to wait in line. There is a limit to the number of voters who can be in the room at one time.

Also, please keep in mind that Bellingham is in two different Congressional Districts (CD2, CD4); therefore, there are different ballots for precincts 1-4 (CD4) versus precincts 4A-5 (CD2). Be sure that you have the correct ballot before you vote.

If you are not registered, or wish to change your party, the last day for voter registration before the Election is October 24th at 8PM.
