Ladies of St. Anne Award 2025 Scholarships

Matthew Shaw, graduate of Bishop Feehan, was presented with his Ladies of St. Anne Scholarship on June 22nd. Matthew will attend the College of the Holy Cross.

This year, the Ladies are pleased to announce two $750 scholarships were awarded to deserving high school graduates.

Hanna Alizio, Bellingham High graduate, received her Ladies of St. Anne scholarship on June 28th. Hannah will attend Worcester State College.

During the St. Blaise 10 a.m. Mass on June 22nd, Matthew Shaw, a recent graduate of Bishop Feehan High School, received his scholarship.  As an AP honor student and a National Honor Society member, Matthew has been involved in many school activities including playing in the high school band, captaining his track team, peer tutoring, and volunteering in many charitable events.  He has also volunteered at St. Blaise, helping with Spring Clean-Up, serving as Vacation Bible School counselor, assisting younger students during Journey in Faith, setting up for annual parish events, and donating his time working in the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.  He plans to pursue his studies, majoring in Biology, at the College of the Holy Cross.

Also, at the St. Blase 4 p.m. Mass on June 28th, we were pleased to present Hannah Alizio with a scholarship.  Hannah has maintained Honor Roll status at Bellingham High School, while working on the Yearbook Staff and captaining the volleyball team, where she received the Most Resilient Player Award.  Hannah has chosen to use her God given gifts and talents to help Veterans, by creating artwork that brings comfort and enjoyment to them. In her love for all God’s creatures, great and small, she has served as a camp counselor for over two years, entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of peoples’ beloved pets.  Hannah will pursue her studies at Worcester State College, majoring in Business.

The Ladies of St. Anne want to thank all in the St. Blaise and Bellingham communities who have supported our fundraising events throughout the year.  You helped make the scholarships for these deserving students possible and we greatly appreciate you.
