Ladies of St. Anne Celebrate, Plan Bake Sale Nov. 4th, 5th; Yankee Swap Nov. 9th

Thirty-three Ladies, Fr. Al Faretra and Deacon Rich Brennan attended the recent Covered Dish meeting on October 12, in the St. Blaise Parish Hall.  We are happy to welcome our newest Sodality member, Louise Roy, and remind all Bellingham women 18+ that we invite them to join as well.
Appetizers and drinks were offered and a blessing was given before the start of the business meeting.   Following the meeting, main dishes, such as lasagna, meatballs, French meat pie and apple chicken, vegetable casseroles, sweet potato bake and salads were served buffet style.  Desserts such as apple crisp, pineapple souffle and "danger bars" completed our meal.   A fall-themed game was played and the 12 winners took home the tables' pumpkin centerpieces.  A raffle featured items like soft fall-themed throws, decorations and wreaths won by 21 of those present including Deacon Rich.
The Ladies will hold a bake sale on November 4 and 5, immediately before and after the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday and the 7:30 and 10:00 Masses on Sunday to benefit the Scholarship Program.  Please come to support this worthy program and enjoy delicious treats.  It's rumored that sweets bought at the Ladies bake sale have no calories!
Our Yankee Swap night will be November 9, at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  Please bring a wrapped present to join the swap.  Presents should cost no more than $20 and should not include food or sized clothing.
The Christmas Gala date of December 14 was announced.  It will be held at Empire Buffet and more information will be available next month.
