Craft Fair 2023: November 4, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. This will be the 18th Fair put on by the COA. You will find antiques, jewelry, soaps, knitted items, and some great Christmas gifts. Enjoy music, food, and raffles. We have 23 vendors, Polka Paul, Raffle, Bakery Table, Gift Baskets, and more. For more information, contact Kay Page (508) 966-1804.

Pen Pals: Connecting the Generations through Letters: Two teachers at Bellingham High School are working on a project that would help bring local elders and high school sophomores closer together. The Pen Pal Project would pair a Bellingham elder with a group of four to six sophomores, all students in six different history classes. The search is on for 30-35 seniors who would like to participate. Email Wells at [email protected] or DeDentro at [email protected], or call the Senior Center at (508) 966-0398.

Coffee & Conversation: On Tuesday, November 7, at 9:30 a.m. join us to learn about the Tax Work Off program. Senior Center Director Josie Dutil will answer your questions. 

Presidential Tales: Popular presenter Paul Arsenault will talk about the presidents Truman, Eisenhower, and Kennedy! Monday, November 13, at 11 a.m.

Veterans Day Ceremony at the Library, Saturday, November 11, at 11 a.m., Bellingham Public Library, one hour program, free and open to all. 

Tax Work-Off Program: Offer your services to the town to get up to $1,425 off your annual proper-ty tax bill. Work up to 100 hours per year at the rate of $14.25 per hour. (Individuals only, couples working can make up to $1,500) Open to Bellingham seniors 60+ years of age and qualified veterans of any age. New program begins on December 1, ends November 30, 2024.

Free Turkey Lunch: The Bellingham Lions Club is offering a FREE sit-down lunch at the Senior Center on Saturday, December 2 from noon to 1 p.m. Enjoy a turkey luncheon, pie for dessert, drinks, all from the popular restaurant PJ’s. Will include raffles, prizes, and, perhaps, a visit from Santa. Please call the Senior Center at (508) 966-0398 to reserve your spot. Seating is limited.

The Giving Tree: For the past 20 years, “Knitters” at the Senior Center have produced hats, mittens, and more to be donated to the St. Blaise Food Pantry, Milford Hospital, and local nursing homes. Purchased items are also welcome. Bring your contribution to the Senior Center before the end of November. Please call the Welcome Desk at the Senor Center for more information. “Everything will be shared before Christmas.”

Thoughtful Engagement: “Do you know someone who has become withdrawn or isolated? Are you interested in improving your quality of life? Please join Thoughtful Engagement® Specialist, Mary-Ellen Kramer from The Aging Space™, Inc. as she explains how her unique Thoughtful Engagement® program works on Tuesday, November 14 at 2 p.m.
