Bellingham Business Association Holds Scholarship Golf Tournament
After a venue cancellation and 2 rainouts, the Bellingham Business Association finally held its 19th annual golf tournament on October 2nd at Maplegate Country Club. The sun was finally shining and the sold-out event began with a 3 p.m. shot gun start. Because of the postponements, a delicious catered dinner prepared by Sierra’s Pizza and Pub, with appetizers by JK Catering and desserts by Shelley Bakehouse had to be held on September 25th at the Bellingham Sportsman Club. The biggest raffle that the group has ever had took place at the same time.
The 1st place prize went to the men’s team of Paul Rogers, Pete Boswell, Greg John and Kyle McGarry. The 2nd place prize went to the team of Mone DaVong, Bobby Monteiro, Kack Ratsapho and Aloon Khounbolom.
The 1st place women’s team included Cindy McNulty, Beth Laplante, Mary Ryan and Emily Ryan. Longest drive winners were Josie Dutil and Tim Mooradian. Closest to the pin winners were Meghan Casey and Kack Ratsapho. All golfers landing on the green on hole #3 received a lottery ticket.
A special raffle was held for 300 - $1 lottery tickets donated by Larry’s Liquors and the winner was Sue of Coldwell Banker Realty. A basket full of nips donated by Vet’s Package Store was won by Steve from the Bellingham Sportsman Club.
