Valedictorian and Salutatorian at Bellingham High School - Class of 2023

 Principal Megan Lafayette is pleased to announce that Elsa Robinson and Jamie Costello have been named Valedictorian and Salutatorian, respectively, of the Bellingham High School Class of 2023.
Class Valedictorian, Elsa Robinson, is the daughter of David and Kristen Robinson of
Bellingham. Elsa maintains a 4.0 grade point average, and is a distinguished two-year member of the National Honor Society. Elsa is a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. Elsa has been a member of the color guard since grade 10 and was captain of the color guard her senior year. Elsa has been an active member of Bellingham High School’s band program for the past seven years. Elsa was the band’s trombone section leader and qualified for senior central district competition as a senior. Elsa was also a member of the Massachusetts Instrumental Choral and Conductors Association (MICCA) gold medal performance in 2023. This fall, Elsa will attend the University of Rhode Island where she received the presidential scholarship, and plans to complete their six year doctoral program in pharmacy.
Class Salutatorian, Jamie Costello, is the daughter of James and Jean Costello, of Bellingham.
Jamie maintains a 4.0 grade point average and is a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship. She is a distinguished two-year member of the National Honor Society and 4 year member of the Bellingham High School Student Council. Dedicated to community service at school and in the greater Bellingham community, Jamie coordinated a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in February of 2022 and 2023 that raised a total of $1,433.72.

An accomplished scholar-athlete since grade 9, Jamie is a four-year member of the BHS Winter and Spring Track and Field teams as well as the BHS Soccer team. She demonstrated exceptional leadership and was announced captain of the winter track team this year. This fall, Jamie will attend the University of Connecticut and plans to major in Nutritional Sciences. Jamie’s goal is to become a registered dietitian and work specifically with athletes as a sports dietitian.
