The Bellingham Police Association (BPA) will once again sponsor a free luncheon to help Bellingham senior citizens start celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 13, at 11:30 AM, at Coachmen’s Lodge, on Wrentham Road, Bellingham. There will be only one seating.

The luncheon will include a traditional corned beef dinner with all of the trimmings, and is open to all senior citizens in town.

Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Bellingham Senior Center at 508-966-0398, or by signing up at the front desk; the deadline is Monday, March 5. Name, number of attendees, and phone number are needed to assure luncheon head count and cancellation contact in case of inclement weather.

The BPA is the union of police officers and sergeants in town. It supports several charitable organizations and sports teams. Each year, officers deliver holiday dinners to Bellingham families in need and generously support the Bellingham Women of Today’s Santa’s Elves Program.

The luncheon event is coordinated by Sgt. Edward Guzowski; Sgt. Lee Rolls and Officer John Melanson are supervising culinary preparation with a team of Bellingham officers who will serve and host the event. The annual luncheon helps the BPA better serve the senior citizens of Bellingham.
