The synthetic turf field at Bellingham High will be three years old when October rolls around. The facility has been a major plus for many of the Blackhawk athletic squads, and it also enables teams that do not normally play on the field to use it for practice when inclement weather makes natural grass fields unplayable.

The facility, however, has never enjoyed full endorsement from Bellingham’s numerous residents and taxpayers in spite of its limiting postponements and being available to a variety of youth programs.

Here’s a quiz designed to test your knowledge about the field, who uses it, who worked for it to become a reality and how it’s being funded.
