Franklin Rod & Gun Fishing Derby June 7th

Local Family Event on Free Fishing Day, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The Franklin Rod & Gun Club will hold its annual Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 7th, from 7 a.m.- 2 p.m. at its location on Uncas Pond, 53 Florence St., Franklin. Families from Franklin and surrounding areas are invited to take part for just $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under, with no fishing license needed on this day. The event will include trophies for kids 16 and under and cash prizes for adults coming in 1st, 2nd or 3rd, as well as raffles, an all-you-can-eat breakfast for $5 and free homemade pizza for lunch. Participants may take their own equipment, or the club offers free bait, gear, rod and reel while supplies last.
