Local Police & Firefighters Face Off in Epic Dodgeball Showdown for a Great Cause
HOPKINTON, MA – The Michael Lisnow Respite Center is proud to kick off the Boston Marathon season with its inaugural Battle of the Badges—an exciting dodgeball tournament matching local police and fire departments against each other in a friendly competitive showdown. As the energy builds toward Marathon Monday, we hope this event will bring the community together to celebrate resilience, teamwork, and the spirit of giving back.
Participating towns include: Ashland, Auburn, Bellingham, Devens, Douglas, Hopedale, Hopkinton, Lexington, Medway, Mendon, Milford, Natick, Worcester, and Wrentham, with more to be announced!
The tournament will take place at Hopkinton Middle School’s gymnasium on Saturday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are available for $15 per person or $45 per family.
The winning team will claim the Battle of the Badges trophy, which will be displayed at their station until next year—when they must return to defend their title in 2026.
All proceeds from this special Boston Marathon Kickoff event will directly benefit The Michael Lisnow Respite Center, a Hopkinton-based nonprofit dedicated to providing emotional and physical support for children and adults with disabilities and their families.
