Bellingham Community Garden Wrapping up Season

By Micky DeFosses

Another successful 4th harvest year at the Bellingham Community Garden, with lots of yummy healthy produce despite such a soggy summer.

“The Bellingham Garden Club of MA” this season to date, donated 60+ pounds of fresh produce to a local food pantry and sponsored Octoberfest for the Communal Garden, acknowledging the hard work of garden members & donated seeds & soil for members & local kids to grow food in the raised beds. Kids grew carrots, Kale, Herbs & Marigold flowers in the kids’ raised beds.

With the season change comes a Garden Manager change, with my relinquishing my role as both Garden Manager & Farmstand Manager, so that I can solely continue to dedicate my efforts as Farmstand Manager.

I am confident in the garden & really excited about what the Next 2024 year brings when the garden opens again next Spring and in welcoming the New Garden Manager. The garden closes on October 30, 2023 for the season.

Interested applicants can contact: bellinghamma.org for Next Year’s Spring enrollment in March 2024.
