 HEALTH FAIR 2023: Questions about your health? 
Get your questions an-swered at the Senior Center’s Second Annual Health Fair coming up on Friday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (The Center’s regular programming will be cancelled for that day.) 
For the first 150 people who sign up, there will be a free lunch. All you have to do is call the Center and reserve your spot at the Fair. 
Tests will be available for your hearing and blood pressure. The YMCA will offer ideas for fitness programs. The Fire Department’s LT Brad Kwatcher will bring an installment of his popular Senior Safe program.
LEARN THE ART OF PYSANKY:  Would you like to learn how to make a traditional Ukrainian Easter egg to add to your basket?  Now is your chance! Learn about the colorful world of Pysanky, the Ukrainian art form in which an egg is designed with traditional folk motifs using wax and dyes. 
Registration is required. Class is limited to 15. This class is FREE and provided through a grant from the Bellingham Cultural Council. Join us Monday, April 3, 1 p.m.… please call the Senior Center to reserve your spot.
GARDEN HELP WANTED: This is the month people celebrate Earth Day, on April 22. April is also the month we’re go-ing to dig into the Senior Center’s garden and move some earth. 
There are eight, 3’ by 8’ raised beds that are filled with depleted soil. On Tuesday, April 4, at 8:30 a.m. we’ll need help moving most of the old earth out and moving in special new “garden soil.” If our earth-moving project is not complete, then we’ll finish it one week later on April 11. You can volunteer at the Center’s front desk and please leave your contact information.
GARDENING PRESENTATION: Seed Starting Made Simple” is the title of au-thor Andy Tomolonis’ presentation at the Center on Friday, April 7, at 1pm. Learn where/how to buy seeds, tools for sowing seeds, when/what to plant, techniques for tip-top tomatoes, indoor and outdoor planting and much more. Check out his book, Organic Hobby Farming for some great ideas. Please call the Center and let us know you’ll be attending.
COFFEE AND CONVERSATION: There will always be someone to talk with! If you and your friends, or just you, want to have a place to go to have your morning coffee/tea and conversation come to the Senior Center on most Tuesday mornings at 9:30. And it’s all FREE! Looking for-ward to meeting you! Please call the Center and let us know you’ll be coming.
LET’S TALK: On the third Thursday of each month, we host a TED Talk... which is a 10–20 minute speech given by various public figures, scientists, authors, and ordinary people that are thought-provoking and educational. We watch the presentation together at the Senior Center on a large screen TV and then sit in conversation around the topic we just heard about. 
On April 20 at 1 p.m., we will watch and discuss Louie Schwartzberg’s presentation of “Nature. Beauty. Gratitude.” Please call the Senior Center to sign up. (508) 966-0398
Arm Chair Travel-Next stop, Rome in Italy: Join us on Wednesday, April 19, at 10 a.m. Watch it on a big screen TV at the Senior Center or join the tour from home via Zoom. And thanks to a generous grant from the Mass. Council on Aging, it’s free. And then, on Friday, April 21, at 11 a.m., you can participate in a cooking workshop. Discover the secrets of Italian cuisine.
