Soter Speaks Out on Recent Bills

State Representative Michael Soter (R-Bellingham) recently voted to support an $11.3 billion transportation infrastructure bond bill, House Bill 5151, An Act relative to Massachusetts’ transportation resources and climate, also known as the MassTRAC bill, that will provide funding for MBTA safety improvements, planning and design costs associated with the East-West Rail project, and hundreds of local transportation and climate resiliency projects across Massachusetts.

Rep. Soter also recently supported the Senate Bill 3075, An Act relative to military spouse-licensure portability, education and enrollment of dependents (aka, the SPEED Act), legislation to assist military personnel and their families with accessing education benefits and meeting professional licensure requirements.

Soter also voiced his disappointment with the Judiciary Committee’s decision to send the Dangerousness Bill, filed by the Baker-Polito administration, to study.
