Open Burning with Daily Permit Approved in Bellingham

Feb 18, 2021 03:35PM ● By Pamela Johnson
The Bellingham Fire Department has announced that residential open burning has been approved and at no charge for the shortened season. To download the burning permit application, visit https://www.bellinghamma.org/fire-department/pages/fp-056 application-fuel-oil-burning-permit. One of these daily permit forms must be completed for each day that you intend to burn. A full set of rules and regulations, which can also be found at the website, should be printed and adhered to. If you are not the homeowner, you must submit a permission letter to the fire department and be approved before burning.
Residents are asked not to visit the fire station; offices are closed to the public (except for emergencies).
For more information, contact the fire department at 508-966-1112 during normal business hours (Mon-Thur, 8 am—4 pm, and Fri, 8 am—12 pm).
