Census

The Annual Town Census was mailed to all residential households on January 12th. Please fill out the form and return it to the Town Clerk as soon as possible, even if there are no changes. (In that case, simply sign and date the form, and return it.) The Annual Town Census is prescribed by law (MGL Chapter 51, Section 4), which provides for a change in voter status for failure to comply. If you have not yet received your census form, please let us know.
Because of the persistent Covid-19 pandemic, we ask that residents return their census form either by mail or by using the blue drop box outside the front door of the Municipal Center. The objective is to minimize foot traffic into municipal offices, thus promoting a safer environment for all.

Dog Licensing

If you have a dog(s), please use the Dog Registration Form at the bottom of the census form to provide the necessary information. You may mail your dog registration along with your census form, an updated rabies certificate, and a check for $15 (neutered) or $20 (non-neutered). We will mail back the license, once the form is processed. Again, we are encouraging the use of mail or drop box to facilitate the dog-licensing process.
In 2020, because of the pandemic, no late fees or state fines were imposed for late dog licenses. That will likely not be the case for 2021. Please fill out the dog registration form when you receive it and mail it back as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary costs. The 2021 Dog Licenses are due by April 1st.

2021 TOWN ELECTION CALENDAR

Unlike in 2020, when there were four elections and two Town Meetings, in 2021, there is only one election (Annual Town Election), along with the Annual Spring and Fall Town Meetings.
There will be a mail-in component for the Town Election; further information will follow once updated regulations are enacted by the State Legislature.

While the State has made no special Covid-related arrangements or considerations for the collection of nomination signatures, a list of options will be given to all prospective candidates when they obtain their nomination packet.

Stay well, and, please check the town website for updates at www.bellinghamma.org.
