Bellingham Town Clerk Certifies Election Results

Nov 28, 2020 06:00AM ● By Pamela Johnson
2020 has been a challenge in many ways, not the least of which was a highly contested and protracted election cycle. I’d like to thank everyone who cooperated and helped to make this emotionally-charged election time a bit easier. Bellingham’s election results were certified on November 16th, and are shown below; there is also a PDF file available for download.

The next scheduled election is our local town election on May 4, 2021. Hopefully, covid-19 will be reigned in by then, so that we can keep to our regular schedules and locations for all elections and Town Meetings in 2021, and beyond!

In 2021, the Town Clerk’s office will be bringing to fruition a number of plans that were delayed by the covid-19 pandemic. We will be implementing several software updates that will make the processing of vital records, business certificates, appointments and dog licenses more efficient.

Annual dogs license renewals will be due on April 1, 2021. The easiest thing for dog owners to do would be to fill out the form at the bottom of your census sheet, enclose a check for the appropriate amount and a copy of your dogs’ proof of rabies vaccination. We can then process the license and mail it back to you. This procedure would work very well should the pandemic still be active come next spring.

More specifics will be available in the January issue of the Bellingham Bulletin.
In the meantime, Happy Holidays to all, and best wishes for a better 2021!
