Town Clerk Announces Information Regarding November Election

November 3 General Election

Regarding the November 3 General Election, it’s important to note that the last day to register to vote in that election is October 24 at 8 pm. You need register only if you are not already registered. Unlike the Primary, everyone will vote using the same ballot; no party choice is required.

Ballots will automatically be mailed out to those who made that request when responding to the postcard that was sent out in July. Also, those who are on our “permanent” Absentee Ballot list will automatically receive their ballots. The last day to request a Vote by Mail ballot is October 28th.

Early Voting “In-Person” will be available from October 17 through October 30, including Saturdays and Sundays. Hours have not yet been determined; they will be posted on the Bellingham website (www.BellinghamMA.org) and on the Bellingham Bulletin website (www.BellinghamBulletin.com) as soon as they are available.

“I thank residents for their patience during these extraordinary times. This is new to all of us, including the state’s Election Division, which continues to evolve and refine the requirements,” said Town Clerk Larry Sposato. “I’d also like to thank my staff and poll workers for their hard work and flexibility.”

For more information, please consult the town website or call the Town Clerk’s office at 508-657-2830. These are the best sources for updated information.
