Local Dems to Host Congressional Candidate Debate on July 29

The Democratic Town Committees of Bellingham, Hopedale, Hopkinton, Medway, Milford, and Norfolk will co-host a debate among the Democratic candidates for Congressional District 4 (currently held by Joe Kennedy).  The debate will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29.  To ensure the safety of candidates and organizers, the candidates will participate remotely.

Nine candidates -- Jake Auchincloss, Dave Cavell, Becky Grossman, Alan Khazei, Ihssane Leckey, Natalia Linos, Jesse Mermell, Ben Sigel, and Chris Zannetos -- met the signature requirements and will appear on the ballot for the state primary September 1. All nine candidates have confirmed attendance in this event.

The candidates will be split into two groups. Each group will get one hour of air time, including opening and closing statements, along with responses to a number of questions.  Voters are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time by emailing [email protected]. Viewers will also be able to submit questions during the debate.

The event will be televised by Milford TV and shared to Bellingham cable access on channel 40.
