Each month, the scouts from Bellingham Boy Scout Troop 100 plan an interesting and fun campout. Plan comprises where to camp, the menu, cooking and cleaning chores, and, of course, having fun.  Some of the trips they have enjoyed recently included earning the Aviation Merit Badge.  For this, six of our scouts went to Minuteman Air Field where they were able to learn about different kinds of aircraft, careers flying and they were able to fly an airplane.  They all had a great experience.

The scouts went on an overnight trip to Mt. Greylock.  On this trip they hiked in approximately 1.3 miles to the site where they set up and then continued with day hike with orienteering.  They brought packaged food which they'd prepared themselves with small individual propane stoves.

The troop also had a fun night at Pinz bowling alley with the Webelos from Pack 118.  Troop 100’s Court of Honor was held at the St. Blaise Church hall on November 5, with the scouts earning a total of 38 merit badges, six rank advancements and other special awards that were presented.

We also participated in the town-wide Scouting for Food Drive to support the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry at St. Blaise Church.  All the Bellingham Boy and Girl Scout troops collected 3,493 pounds of food and received $1079.22 in monetary donations.

For more information, please contact Troop 100 at [email protected] or join us on a Monday night, from 7 to 8:30 PM, at the St. Blaise Church lower level to meet our troop.
