Crowley Named Rookie of the Week

Westfield State University junior OF Kyle Murphy (Westfield) and freshman OF Anthony Crowley (Bellingham) earned weekly honors by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference for player and rookie of the week, respectively. Murphy earned the player of the week award after batting .417 with a double, a triple, seven runs scored, three RBI and three walks in a 3-2 week for the Owls. Murphy was 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored in the 6-1 win over Springfield College and 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI’s, two runs scored and a walk in the 9-0 win over Becker College.
As rookie of the week, Crowley batted .313 with two doubles, a run scored and seven RBI’s in a 3-2 week for the Owls. Crowley went 3-for-3 with a double, walk, run scored and two RBI’s in the 9-0 win over Becker College and 1-for-3 with two RBI in the 6-1 win over Springfield College.
