St. Blaise to Hold Elec. & Appliance Recycling Day

Electronic and Appliance Recycle Day will be held in the  Saint Blaise Church parking lot, 1158 South Main Street/Route 126, Bellingham, on Earth Day, Saturday April 30, 9 am-2 pm.

You may bring electronic items, including but not limited to computer towers, laptops, scanners, VCRs, photocopiers, CD and DVD players, stereo equipment and speakers, lighting, vacuum cleaners, answering and fax machines, circuit boards, radios, modems, fans, game consoles, typewriters, etc. to be recycled for a fee of $5 per item.

Microwave ovens, exercise equipment, lawn mowers, dehumidifiers, snow blowers, small engine Items, computer monitors, etc., may be recycled for a fee of $10 per item. The cost to recycle television sets follows: up to 24"--$15 each;  25" to 31"--$20 each; 32" to 35" -- $25 each; and  36" and larger -- $30 each; projection TV and wood console -- $30 each. Fees for other miscellaneous items: window air conditioners, $15; small dorm refrigerators, $10; washing machines, clothes dryers and stoves, $20; large refrigerators, $25. Cables, keyboards, car batteries, tools will be accepted free of charge.

This is also bicycle recycling day, so for no fee, you may bring your unwanted (old or new) bicycle and drop it off so that it may be reused. Mountain, road, BMX, cruiser, old/new, children's bikes, etc.--the goal is to keep bikes from being thrown out when they can be enjoyed again by someone else.
