The new Operation Graduation logo unveiled

The Operation Graduation All-Night Party, a lock-in event for the graduating seniors, was held on June 5 at Bellingham High. The theme was “School of Rock” and featured rooms with musical themes throughout the decades, including Club 2015 and nightclub; the 50s, 70s and 80s were represented as well. There was even a drive-in playing favorite musicals such as Grease, Dirty Dancing and Footloose. The 80s hall featured a “rock ‘n arcade” complete with real arcade games, Skeeball and a life-size Operation® game. The cafeteria was set up like a 50s diner with sock hop and candy store. The 70s room was filled with vintage games like Rock ‘m Sock ‘m Robots and Toss Across. There was also a 50s-themed Vegas casino. The gym was filled with inflatables like an obstacle course, bull riding and a life-size Hungry Hungry Hippos® game. The graduating seniors were also kept entertained by facepainting, a hair and nail area as well as henna tattoos. The highlight of the evening was a visit by Frank Santos, Jr. for an amazing hypnotist show that the graduates were part of. The night was finished off in the auditorium with a slide show made up of pictures of the graduates. It was a great evening and the graduates were incredibly appreciative throughout the night. They each left with a goodie bag filled with great theme-related items.
