May 17th Memorial Parade a Hit

Bellingham's May 17th Memorial Parade stepped off at 1 p.m., a new start time beginning this year. As in previous years, the parade began at Bellingham Memorial Middle School, located at the corner of Blackstone and South Main streets, and proceeded north on South Main Street to the center of town, ending at the town common. This year's Grand Marshal was Ida Parker (pictured above). The keynote speaker was Lt. Col. Thomas Reilly. Performances by the Bellingham Senior Chorus and the Bellingham High School chorus were highlights of the ceremony.
