More than 200 teams of cheerleaders competed at the two-day New England Pop Warner Regional Cheer and Dance Finals in Springfield in early November. Bellingham Pop Warner’s B team took home a top spot as they placed 5th out of 11 teams in their category.
”The girls worked hard and were so dedicated to the team,” said Head Coach Suzanne Gabrielle, who led the middle-school girls through hours of practice since August. “The parents were incredibly supportive, and without all they did, we as coaches could not have been able to focus solely on coaching. We end every practice with a chant of “Falcon Family.”
“I think this team truly embodied what it meant to be a family throughout this season,” Gabrielle said.
At another event in November, nineteen girls ranging from 4th through 6th grade took home the top prize in their category when they competed at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
“I feel that these girls did a great job this year and I am very proud of all of them,” said their Head Coach, Tamera Dakai.
