October 15 is the last day you can register to vote for the state election in November. The town clerk’s office will be open until 8 pm on that day. If you need a voter registration form mailed to your home, please contact the town clerk’s office at 508-657-2830 and one will mailed to you.

Have an unlicensed dog?

If you do, then chances are there’s a citation with your name on it coming from the town clerk’s office. Citations are $50 this year.

Dog licenses are renewable annually, beginning on April 1. On July 1, a $20 late fee is assessed, per dog, along with the regular licensing fee. Then, on August 1, the additional $50 citation fee is issued.

“We have well over 2,100 dogs in this town—that we know of,” said Town Clerk Ann Odabashian. “As of The Bellingham Bulletin’s August 15th deadline, we have licensed 1,950 dogs, leaving approximately 150 dogs unaccounted for.
