             Louis J. “Duke” Farese Memorial Bench Dedication


BELLINGHAM- On May 23rd, Keough Memorial Academy will be dedicating a Memorial Bench to Louis J. “Duke” Farese of Bellingham. Mr. Farese selflessly dedicated his entire life to serving his country and his community both in and out of uniform.

Sadly, after more than thirty years of living with a debilitating disease, Duke as he was known by all that knew and loved him passed away on August 30, 2017 at sixty-fours years old. In addition to being in the United States Army from 1975 – 1985 achieving the rank of Captain, Duke was devoted to volunteering his time at the Paul J. Primavera Educational Center and later the Keough Memorial Academy. For more than twenty years he taught and mentored numerous student on how to build and repair computers, bicycles, and small engines.

The Memorial Bench is being erected in order to honor the memory of Duke Farese and celebrate his lifelong commitment to serving his country and his community and the many lives he positively impacted along the way.
