End-of-Life Options Forum Slated for March 23

Feb 28, 2019 06:00AM ● By Pamela Johnson
If you are or know someone who is terminally ill, you may learn more about end-of-life choices on Saturday, March 23, when the Bellingham Democratic Town Committee sponsors a presentation by Compassion & Choices, an organization that supports pending legislation on Beacon Hill that would allow for terminally ill, mentally competent adults to die at a time of their choosing. The legislation is modeled after the Oregon “Death with Dignity Act.”

The forum, which will take place at the Bellingham Public Library, will include three presenters and a question-and-answer period. It should be noted that this forum is for educational purposes only. The BDTC does not endorse or oppose the legislation at this time. The program will be held in the Library’s Community Room from 1 to 3PM.
