The Greater Franklin Distinguished Young Women Program will hold an informational session on Monday, October 3, at the Hockomock YMCA in Franklin, beginning at 7:30 pm.

The Greater Franklin Distinguished Young Women Program is part of a national scholarship program that inspires high school girls to develop their full, individual potential through a fun, transformative experience that culminates in a celebratory showcase of their accomplishments.  The program has provided life-changing experiences for more than 700,000 young women and more than $93 million in cash scholarships has been awarded at the local, state, and national levels combined.  Distinguished Young Women strives to give every young woman the opportunity to further her education and  prepare for a successful future.

Last year the Greater Franklin Distinguished Young Women Program offered over $43,000 in scholarship dollars including a full one-year scholarship to Dean College.  Join us in this incredible journey and particpate in this program - it will be life changing!

The program is opened to all high school Juniors in all towns, no age requirement; it is free to join. Rehearsals start in October and will include one rehearsal night per month until the spring.  Attendance is preferred but we are flexibile and will work with you if you cannot attend all the rehearsals. The program show will take place in May 2016 to ensure no conflicts with prom or other shows. For more information, visit franklin.ma.distinguishedyw.org
