Valley Tech Announces Upcoming Accreditation Review Visit By the ACEN

Blackstone Valley Vocational Regional School District’s highly successful Practical Nursing Program announces that it will host a site review for continuing accreditation of its part-time evening practical nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
 
The public is invited to attend an open meeting on Wednesday, October 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the site visit team and share comments about the program in person.
 
The meeting will be held in the Superintendent’s conference room at Blackstone Valley Tech located at 65 Pleasant Street, Upton, MA. In order to ensure the safety and security of students and staff, the public is asked to bring photo identification and check in at the security kiosk in the main lobby before proceeding to the meeting.
 
Written comments are also welcome and should be submitted directly to Dr. Marsal Stoll, Chief Executive Officer, Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326 or via email at [email protected]. All written comments should be received by the ACEN no later than October 12, 2016.
 
The BVT Post-Secondary Practical Nursing program was established in 2009 to provide adults in the Blackstone Valley the life-changing opportunity to pursue a career in healthcare. The program has the approval of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and provides 1090 hours of instruction, with a minimum of 945 hours of nursing courses, 540 of which are clinical practice.
