Happy July to you!  The town once again has festivities planned to celebrate Independence Day, with music beginning at 6:30 (first by the local band Velvet Skies, then by the headliner, Pieces of Eight), followed by fireworks at 9:30 pm, provided by Ocean State Pyrotechnics.

The kids are out of school and it’s time to relax and enjoy the summer—it’ll be over before we know it.  Our calendar page lists most of the activities going on at the library, always a great place to bring the kids, especially if they’re involved in the summer reading program.

Start it all off by kicking back and reading the July issue of the Bellingham Bulletin, either the print edition, which you should have received by mail on June 29 or 30, or you can scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on the newspaper icon below to view our digital PDF.  Either way, enjoy!

Some highlights of the July issue follow.
