An impressive display of the students' creativity

Bellingham Memorial Middle School held its 7th annual Punkin’ Chunkin’ event, a much-looked-forward-to seventh-grade tradition, on Tuesday, October 28. A total of 104 student participants built 44 pumpkin catapults of varying shapes and sizes to take part in the event. The school received a donation of over 200 pumpkins from the Pumpkin Farm in Medway, and parents were invited to watch the pumpkins being launched into the field behind the school. Students had just as much fun cleaning the pumpkin remains off the field as they did launching. Superintendent Edward Fleury was on hand for the event, and everyone had a great time.
